‘The Monument’ is the project that began with the idea that the meaning of ‘packaging’ could also apply to intangible elements such as linguistic messages, emotions, or even thoughts in a visual way. The project is about personifying forgotten characters, iconic figures in early 2000s Korea, commemorating their achievements while simultaneously creating a sense of nostalgia for the audience. In this project, I used a scarf as a physical object that acts like a monument while also involving the audience in the experience.
